Trick-or-Treat party ideas

Once all the guests arrive gather them together to welcome the guests and get the party started.  If parents are attending ask them to join in too. This is a good time for each child to show off their costume to the group.  You and/or your child can model how to stand in front of the party guests, to take a bow, or act out their costume character. Be sure to have a camera to take their photo. Encourage all the children, willing to stand up in front of the group, to show their costumes.  This is a good time to share the overview party plan with the children.

Once the party begins some activities or games may be difficult to do in costume. Have paper bags on hand for children to place costume parts in until it’s time to go home. Have a pen handy to write their name on the bag.

Having the bags with names is a great idea. All of their party goodies will then be in one place. Love it!
